Hello Beach Walkers.
Weather tells me "Sunny and Pleasant".  With luck it will be a nice walk. Hope to see you tomorrow at the GumBoot, I think Pat and Wendy will be absent. There will be good food and drink.  And maybe some stimulating conversation.

It is Tuesday again and I am trying to come up with a nice or witty news story.  I can not find one.  The internet is full of nasty stories.  Here is one that is not all that nasty, just a rich person doing what rich people do best.  Show off their wealth.  I am sure you have all heard of Jeff Bezos.  Worlds second richest man after Elon Musk.  That probably really bothers poor old Jeff, being second.  On to the story.  He builds a small rocket that goes a little past the Karman line.  The Karman line is about 100 Km above sea level.  This is a line that marks the border between the earths atmosphere and space.  Not everyone agrees with this line.  So this week Lauren Sanchez, Jeff's other significant other, and a singer and TV personality named Katy Perry were aboard one of these rockets.  I call these things a "carnival ride for the rich".  It serves no purpose other then to give some rich people a carnival ride above the Karman line for a flight that last about 11 minutes.  This rocket serves no other purpose.  On to the story again.  Lauren was apparently miffed that some people, like me, think this is a useless pleasure ride for the rich and not so famous.  I may have mentioned that a couple of ladies have a pod cast called "I've had it".  I will give you the pod cast that mentioned "Lauren's flight to the edge of space".  I like these ladies on the podcast.  They do not pull any punches but they do use expletive's at times, but that never bothers me.  Here is the link

Having said the above about the useless rocket Bezos built, I do use Amazon.  You know the company that made him the worlds second richest man.  The reason I still use it is the prices are really good.  The stuff you can find at Amazon, you will have trouble finding anywhere else.  I have been looking at alternatives but they are from China and I don't know how safe that is.  It is not the products I worry about but the web sites and possible credit card theft.  There is Temu AliExpress and Alibaba.  There are many more like the one I used to use, I forget the name, blame my old degenerating grey cells.
Not many pictures this week.  I got a robin in a tree with pink blossoms starting.  There are some sheep down my street below the power lines. 
From the Smithsonian I got an image of a Greek statue.  I used my colourizing software to make it look more like a real person.  Lovely young lady with a quiver of arrows.  This is what the Greek and Roman artists considered "Beauty" about 2000 years ago.  Looks good to me, the artist who made this was very talented.
One other lady I watch sometimes on YouTube is Rachel Maddow.  She is on MSNBC.  I have not seen many men who are as openly against the US president as all the ladies I watch.  Does that mean something?  The US president is an old idiot.  At any rate if you like you can watch one of her podcasts.  Read some of the comments below the video.
